Brains > Level

Having recently reached Hellfire Peninsula my leveling buddy and I were doing our regular routine when we noticed one of the three PvP objectives taken over by horde. Looking to have some fun we decided to go check it out. At the very least we’d get a nice fight out of it. Lo and behold the offending Horde was a level 63 blood elf priest. My 61 prot warrior swiftly and cleanly dispatched the priest. My leveling buddy (61 mage) and I then proceeded to capture the tower.

All was going well until out of the blue the priest returned…with a level 80 orc warrior with 39k health. My mage friend and I quickly fly up to avoid certain death. We fly over to the next tower and start capping it only to have the warrior and priest follow us.  The warrior starts flying up, using Heroic Throw and then parachuting down trying to kill me.  My warrior takes a beating but is able to survive it. Thankfully, the parachute cloaks have a decent cooldown so by the time he’s able to take a second shot my health has regenerated.

He finally decides to take out my mage buddy. Which is okay. We killed his friend so a kill or two is in order. But he starts gloating over her body and spitting on her. As if a level 80 prot warrior with 20 times more health taking down a squishy low level mage is an accomplishment. Now its on. Taking advantage of him trying to fly after my mage friend I drop and kill his priest friend again. Mount and start flying up high…very high.

The warrior finds me and follows me to max height. By now Hellfire is a haze below us. I take him over the path of glory. The deep valley in the center of the peninsula. My goal is to make the largest drop possible. When we get to the right point he does his heroic throw junk again…then starts falling. Much to me chagrin he uses his cloak about halfway down. I hang my head in disappointment. I watch him float safely towards the ground. Too bad the cloaks have like a 10 second duration.  By the time his cloak wears off he’s still a couple hundred feet above the ground. He plummets to his death.

Pwnd.

I laugh so hard I hurt myself and almost fall out of my chair. I win.

Just say gno[me]!

Creating a new character on a server, my mom decided to join me with a death knight. I created a priest. With my priest, now level 12, she offered to run me through Deadmines. Big mistake. She is a three pigtailed, pink haired, gnome female named: Bubble Gum.

Entering the Goblin portion of Deadmines she decided to aggro “a small part of the room”. Apparently in Gnomish “a small part” means the entire room. Granted, it was my fault that I fell into the mess of it. I attempted to see if I could boil myself in the big vat of molten whatever and instead found myself in the midst of gnomish-chaos.

“Use your diseases! Spread them! Death strike! Death strike!”

“I am!”

“There are no diseases on them!”

“Oh.”

“Pestilence! Spread diseases-”

“Heal!”

“I AM HEALING!”

*death*

The moral of this story? Never accept a run through from a character shorter than you. Especially if that midget happens to be named Bubble Gum.
